On 5/17/2016, Casa Apis was visited by a committee of state representatives of the state of Piauí, composed by members Themístocles Son, Antonio Felix, Severus Eulalio, Rubens Martins, Pablo Santos and Bele Medeiros. Various topics were explained about the work of Casa Apis with more than 800 families of small producers located from north to the south of the State of Piauí. They discussed about how the honey is processed and marketed in the domestic market and international markets and how the added value is passed on to these small producers.

Also participated in the meeting the teacher Juliana, who teaches beekeeping course at the Federal University of Piauí, who along students, requested state resources for research in apiculture.
