The Federal Inspection Service, known worldwide by its acronym S.I.F. and provided by the Brazilian Department of Inspection of Animal Products – DIPOA, is responsible for ensuring the quality of products of animal origin for the domestic and international markets, as well as for imported products. Currently, there are more than 4000 Brazilian establishments under the supervision of S.I.F, where 3,244 have the S.I. F license and 1,705 are related establishments under the supervision of DIPOA.
All products of animal origin under the responsibility of the Department of Agriculture, Livestock and Food Supply are registered and approved by S.I.F. in order to assure sanitary and technological certification to all Brazilian consumers, respecting national and international legislations.
